Here is my take on the Mini Simmons. It is 5'7", 22 in. wide. I made it out of mahogany with quilted maple fins, tinted red epoxy finish with one 4oz layer on top, 1" rocker in the tail about 3'' on the nose. It weighs just under 12lbs. It's the most fun I've ever had in small waves.
Welcome to the Eskew Surfboards blog. This is a spot for me to share my work with friends, family, and whoever wants to take a look. I hope someday I can make surfboard building my livelihood. I could spend all day building surfboards. I'm always thinking about what makes a good surfboard--the rocker, fin placement, rails, etc.Take a look and leave me your comments.
